This story is developed in New york city. The places that Mr. Scott mentions are mostly located in the bordered area of this vital city. The first place that we can find in this story is Broadway which he compares with Brenton Forest to the spring foliage that he can appreciate. 


Then some places that he recommends to Tessi in order to spend her spare time take a deep breath and get unwind from the whole daily stress in the city such as Sulzer’s Park, Eldorado, or Coney island.


📍Solari's


After that, he describes some places where he hangs out with Miss Carmichel, they were at the Solari’s for dinner with her. While he is working on going home. He goes through Washington Square where we can find the Memorial Church suddenly he took the walk that leads him from the Garibaldi statue to the Hamilton Apartment House where the protagonist lives nevertheless the model who constantly visits him because she lives in the twenty-fifth Street. However, between them, there was the churchyard. 


📍Washington Arch


Every person needs to reflect on each action that they do. The protagonist lounged on the Washington Arch and Washington Park.


The story develops between the 1870’s and 1890’s thanks to the fact that we can analyze and interpret the objects with which the protagonist interacts such as the hearse and the Moorish costume, these objects were commonly used in 1886 and 1869, respectively. We can describe the hearse as a victorian, black, horse-drawn with glass windows. And the Moorish costume is made with flamed tinsel, silver arabesques, and silks. The costume consists of pointed leather slippers with sequins, an ankle-length skirt, a metallic vest, and a gold chain with a cross attached, over the head.
